On Tuesday, 372,500 people were registered as job seekers at Nav. That is 17,400 fewer than a week ago.

– “More people are now back at work and this is positive. So far in May, there have been 48,500 fewer job seekers,” says Director of Labor and Welfare Sigrun Vågeng.

The decline is greatest in retail and sales work as well as in service professions such as hairdressers and others who were required to close, but have now been able to start working again.

198,600 people, 7.1 percent of the workforce, are registered as fully unemployed with Nav, according to preliminary figures. 161,400 people are registered as partially unemployed.
