2019 is the best year in the history of the Oil Fund
The Government Pension Fund Global – known as the Oil Fund – earned NOK 1,800 billion in 2019, which is a new record with a good margin.
This was annouinced by the head of the Oil Fund, Yngve Slyngstad, to NRK.
– 350,000 NOK in return per capita. This is by far the best year in the fund’s history, says Slyngstad.
On October 25 this year, the oil fund passed NOK 10,000 billion. This happened on the day 50 years after the Ekofisk discovery, which was the start of the Norwegian oil adventure.
