This is a new negative and regrettable decision that we have been forced to take because of the development that has been in the market for a while, and that we unfortunately do not see any rapid change, says communications manager Gisle Johanson in Odfjell Drilling.

The workforce at 1.130 employees are reduced to 900 because there is danger that Odfjell lose operational tasks associated with Iceland company Innovator, according to Johanson. In addition, demand for platform drilling is reduced.Since the spring of 2014 over 1,000 employees have lost their jobs in Odfjell.
