On Tuesday, NAV could register 208,100 unemployed. That is 4,600 fewer than last week.

– The positive development continues. More and more people who were laid off are back at work, and in the last week unemployment fell among both the completely unemployed and the partially unemployed, says Director of Labor and Welfare Hans Christian Holte in a press release.

112,000 people are now registered as completely unemployed with Nav, according to preliminary figures. This constitutes 4.0 per cent of the labor force.

Gross unemployment, which is the sum of the number of completely unemployed and jobseekers on assistance, is 123,400 people, or 4.4 per cent of the labor force. In addition, 84,800 people are registered as partially unemployed.

A total of 208,100 people are thus registered as jobseekers with Nav, which constitutes 7.4 per cent of the labor force.

In Oslo, 34,832 people are registered as completely or partially unemployed on Tuesday. This is a decrease of 1,029 people compared to last week.
