70 people will lose their jobs in Maersk Drilling Norway when the rig Reacher is done with its mission for BP in September.

The press spokesperson for the Danish rig company Helene Aagaard confirmed to Stavanger Aftenbladet that out of the  130 people who currently work at Maersk Reacher, 70 employees will be fired. The others will be reallocated to other projects or moved on with the rig.
Last year two of its rigs were sent  away  from the Norwegian shelf. One to the Danish side and one in circulation in Frederikshavn. And  in the summer of 2015 the news came that Maersk had to reduce its workforce by 170 employees.
