700 lose their jobs at FMC Technologies
Over 700 employees and contractors in the supplier FMC Technologies lose their job, NRK news reported.
It was an extraordinary board meeting on Tuesday, and the employees are informed about the dramatic decision.
We must adjust their capacity to market situation. The current level and the number of employees is based on a much higher volume than our current projection shows, says CEO Rune Thoresen in FMC.
FMC Technologies delivers systems and solutions for the energy industry and, according to Wikipedia employees in Kongsberg, Asker, Bergen, Stavanger, Kristiansund, Floro and Notodden.
The company is headquartered in Houston and total scant 19,000 people. In Norway, 3,800 on the payroll.
