803 guards will go out on strike, Wednesday morning after a breakdown in negotiations between NHO Service and Trade, Parat and the Norwegian Workers’ Union (NAF).

NAF takes out 420 guards, while Parat takes out 383 guards on strike from 12 o’clock, NAF informs NTB.

The parties mediated on Wednesday morning in overtime before there was a breakdown just after 06:30. The strike is the first in this year’s wage settlement.

Union leader and chief negotiator Anita Johansen for NAF says that they are disappointed that they have not reached an agreement.

– “We are of course terribly disappointed that we did not reach an agreement even within the framework of the front subject. Not least, we had a demand that relates to the apprentices, and that we failed to reach agreement on good frameworks and working conditions for the apprentices, I think is very unfortunate,” she says to NTB.
