881 persons were charged for social security abuse of NOK 139 million in 2019. This is a clear decline from the previous years. Five of the cases concern victims of the social security scandal.
In 2018, 968 people were notified, while 1,048 people were notified in 2017, according to Nav. Welfare also mentions the figures.
42 of these cases in these three years are part of the social security scandal. There are 5 cases in 2019, 24 in 2018 and 13 in 2017.
The average amount reported in 2019 is NOK 159,190. 27 cases concern fraud for more than NOK 500,000.
Most reviews are related to work. 751 people have been reported for a total of NOK 103 million for having been in work, but failed to inform Nav this.
