Out of those who became job seekers at the start of the pandemic in March and April, 21% are still not back at work.
That corresponds to 83,920 people, according to the newspaper Klassekampen.
According to the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration’s (NAV) figures, a total of 399,621 people became job seekers during March and April.
Out of the total, 21% continued to be job seekers at the end of November.
A total of 54,820 people were job seekers before the pandemic hit Norway, and 52% of them are still in the same situation, according to Klassekampen.
