ABB Norway has signed an agreement with Statnett to supply substations in the Southwest region. The agreement is worth over 250 million kroner.

The agreement between ABB and Statnett includes delivery of two substations at Lyse in Rogaland and Fjotland in West-Agder.

These should help to improve the reliability and capacity of the power grid and increase the integration of renewable energy. In addition, transformer stations play an important role in the interconnection of the Norwegian, British and German power grid, said ABB.
