Air traffic has been reduced by around 95 percent

Avinor estimates a decline in air traffic during Easter week of between 90 and 95 percent. Also in March, there was a sharp decline as a result of the Coronavirus eruption.

– “Air traffic has recently been reduced by around 95 percent, and Easter is no exception,” says communications manager Gurli Høeg Ulverud in Avinor.

1,985,805 passengers traveled to and from Avinor airports in March. This is a 56 percent reduction from last year. The number of departures and arrivals decreased by 30 percent in March, compared with last year.

From January to March this year, the number of passengers was reduced by 21 percent, while the number of flights decreased by 11 percent.
