Almost all Coastal Ships will return to service in September

14 of Hurtigruten’s 16 ships will be back in operation by the end of September. As a result, most laid-off employees will return to work during that same month.

– The response when we started sailing again in June was overwhelming. Both guests, crew and the communities along the coast are happy to see us sailing again. As the travel restrictions and entry rules are about to be changed, we will continue to move towards normal operations, says CEO Daniel Skjeldam of Hurtigruten.

He emphasises that the escalation plan requires that international travel restrictions be lifted and that foreign travelers can travel to and from Norway.
