An increase in turnover for gas stations this summer

After a miserable spring, the active summer traffic has led to a significant increase in turnover for the country’s gas stations.

Virke Servicehandel has asked DNB to make an overview of the turnover from the suffer traffic in the summer weeks 27 to 31 has had to say for the country’s gas stations. It shows that there has been an overall increase of 8 percent measured compared to the same period last year. 

-”The largest turnover development is in the big cities. Here, sales have risen by as much as 19 percent compared to the same period the year before.”, Virke reports. 

The rise is good news for an industry that experienced a drop in turnover of 40 percent when the Corona ravaged the market this spring. Overall for the year to day, the country’s gas stations have seen a 7 percent decrease in turnover compared to the same period in previous years.
