The number of people who flew with Norwegian in February remained stable at 640,000 passengers, the airline’s new traffic figures show.

The filling rate was about 81%. In February, ticket sales also rose to the highest level since the start of the pandemic in 2020.

In February, Norway and many European countries removed entry rules and other measures and restrictions associated with the pandemic.

Stable number of travelers

“February is usually a month with lower travel activity, but still, the number of travelers remains stable from January. We are particularly pleased that our aircraft have a filling rate of over 81%.

“When society reopened, we immediately noticed an increased demand for flights. We will have a comprehensive summer program this year to meet the demand from the many people who want to go out and travel,” CEO of Norwegian Geir Karlsen stated.

In comparison, only 61,374 passengers flew with Norwegian in February 2021.

Around 280 routes to 38 destinations are planned in the summer program, and Norwegian will have around 70 aircraft in operation.
