Around 760,000 passengers traveled with SAS in January, an increase of 170% from the same month in 2021. From December to January, however, a decrease in the number of passengers was registered.
The decline from December 2021 to January amounted to 25%, and capacity decreased by 10%, SAS stated in a press release.
From January last year to January this year, capacity increased by 170%.
“It is no surprise that omicron affected demand this month, with further travel restrictions being introduced in our main markets.
“All our operations were negatively affected by increased sickness absence,” CEO of SAS Anko van der Werff said.
