Equinor is now entering into contracts totaling NOK 3.3 billion in connection with the development of the floating wind park Hywind Tampen.

The contracts go to Kvaerner, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, JDR Cable System and Subsea 7, Equinor said in a press release on Thursday.

The hulls will be built at Kvaerner’s yard on Stord and at Dommersnes in Vindafjord in Norway. The contract of NOK 1.5 billion also includes the completion of assembly activities, towing and installation of completed wind turbines.

Hywind Tampen will supply electricity to the Gullfaks and Snorre fields in the North Sea, and the investment will be around NOK 5 billion. The investment in the wind farm will be just under NOK 5 billion.
