The industrial group Aker Solutions earned less and had losses of 278 million NOK before taxes  in the fourth quarter of 2015. 900 employees will probably lose their jobs during 2016.

The company states in a press statement that they estimate that they will be able to save  600 million NOK  a year on streamlining business area for maintenance, modifications and operations (MMO) and underwater operations.
The Kjell Inge Røkke controlled company  also reiterates that they will probably still have to downsize their MMO area of operations heavily.

As previously announced, Aker Solutions will reduce their capacity in the MMO business in Norway by a further 900 jobs this year in order to adapt to the market conditions. This means a 25 percent reduction in the number of positions since the summer of 2014 – about three out four in the MMO and underwater operations in Norway, the company said.
