Newspapers’ digital circulation increased by 9 % from the first half of last year to the same period this year. Paper circulation fell 10.5 %. The total increase was 0.9 %.
Figures are provided by the Media Companies’ National Association (MBL) and the National Newspaper for Local Newspapers (LLA) on Wednesday.
“Norwegian media is an important part of people’s everyday lives, so it is positive that the media houses continue to bring readers over to the digital platforms. That users are willing to pay for good content bodes well for the future,” says MBL CEO Randi S. Øgrey.
