There was still a fall in passenger numbers for Norwegian in June, but bookings are starting to pick up, the airline reports.

113,004 passengers flew with Norwegian in June this year, well below the capacity of over 113 million passengers, the company said in a stock exchange announcement.

In June 219 Norwegian flew 3.47 million passengers.

The company had only eight aircraft in operation in June. From July 1, Norwegian opened 76 routes around Europe and now has another twelve aircraft in operation.

– Demand has gradually increased again, and last week bookings increased by 40 percent for flights in July and August, the company said.
