Just before 9 am on Monday morning, the parties at Parliament agreed on a crisis package for the economy.

Those who are temporarily laid off will receive full pay for 20 days.

Self-employed persons and freelancers will receive temporary income protection equivalent to 80 percent of the average of the last three years upwards, limited to 6G, just under NOK 600,000.

The compensation occurs from day 17 after loss of income. The proposal will take effect immediately, and the payments will be made as soon as NAV has a technical solution in place for the scheme.

Activity requirements for social benefits are dropped, and the period for ‘clarification money’ had been extended.

More in Care money
Those who are at home with children and who have reached the care allowance limit or are close to reaching the limit will receive a doubling of the care allowance period, a total of 20 days for each parent.
