Over half of all motorists have experienced that somebody has damaged their parked car and left no message, according to recent figures from the insurance industry.
‘We pay out large sums, but in those cases where the damage is often not very big, it’s the customer who pays him or herself. And it’s very annoying’, said communications manager, Arne Voll Gjensidige to NRK news.
Insurance industry figures show that on a national basis, there are 160 reversing and parking injuries every day, which costs insurers 600 million kroner annually. Most such collisions occur in carparks at shopping malls or in downtown areas.
