During September 400 fewer persons registered as unemployed, according to seasonally adjusted figures from NAV. At the end of September there were 78.500 people registered as unemployed.
– September is the fourth month in a row where we see a decline in unemployment.
The positive trend is that fewer are unemployed. There have been fewer new job seekers who signed up to NAV since December 2014, said Labor and Welfare Director Sigrun Vågeng.
At the end of September there were 78500 unemployed people according to NAV, a decrease of 1,100 compared with September last year. Unemployment is at 2.8 percent, down from 2.9 percent last September.
Altogether there are 95,700 people who are either unemployed or job seekers who participate in measures. There are 3,800 more than a year ago and equivalent to 3.5 percent of the workforce, compared with 3.4 percent last September.
