DNB has decided to raise the interest rate on mortgages to 0.25% after Norges Bank raised the key interest rate on Thursday.

DNB will thus be the first major bank to raise interest rates after Norges Bank raised its key interest rate on Thursday.

In a press release, the bank stated that the new interest rate would take effect from December 18 for new customers and from January 28 for existing customers.

According to DNB, all customers who will experience an interest rate change will receive information via online bank services or receive a letter in the mail.

Fana Sparebank announced an interest rate increase already on Thursday.
