DNB made a profit of NOK 5.27 billion in the fourth quarter of 2020, down just over NOK 670 million from the previous year.

The bank has nevertheless fared better than many others.

“2020 was a challenging year for Norway and DNB, but the Norwegian economy has done relatively well through the pandemic.

“Unlike many European banks, DNB has emerged stronger from the pandemic, with healthy growth, good results, and record-high customer satisfaction,” CEO Kjerstin Braathen stated in a press release.

The bank’s annual result fell by NOK 5.8 billion to NOK 19.8 billion. The main reasons were the corona pandemic and falling oil prices, the company stated.
