During the last year, prices for building materials in housing construction in Norway have risen by 23.4%

The costs associated with the construction of housing continued to increase in August. Over the past year, prices for building materials in housing construction have risen by 23.4%, according to new figures from Statistics Norway (SSB).

Between July and August this year, the cost of building materials for housing construction rose by 5.1%. 

In the last year, prices for building materials in housing construction have increased by 23.4%. In total, Statistics Norway’s construction cost index has increased by 11.2% since August 2020.
