After six years as CEO of Equinor, Eldar Sætre resigns from the top job. Anders Opedal will be Sætre’s replacement from 2 November.
This is stated by the company in a press release on Monday.
Opedal has worked for the company since 1997. He comes from the position of Executive Vice President for Technology, Projects and Drilling.
– “Anders Opedal has deep knowledge of, and broad experience from, the energy sector. He has worked his way up the latter at Equinor, he has shown strong leadership and he has delivered results that have exceeded the expectations placed on him,” says chairman of the board Jon Erik Reinhardsen at Equinor.
Sætre resigns from Equinor after working for the company for over 40 years.
