With 79 new permanent employees in the catering department, Equinor has the largest staffing in the company since 2007.

As of today, 858 employees serve 26 installations for the company and handle more than one million overnight shifts a year according to Stavanger Aftenblad newspaper. The operation of canteens and maintenance has, like all other fields of offshore operations, suffered during the oil reduction in recent years.

Now, apparently the arrows point the other way, with 79 new appointments. It is especially the newcomer, Johan Sverdrup, who created the need for new posts on the oil platforms, as well as replacing people who retired.
