Equinor enters into cooperation on offshore wind in Japan
Equinor enters into an agreement with the companies Jera and J-Power on cooperation to establish offshore wind projects in Japan.
“The three companies will work together to carry out joint assessments and submit joint bids in Japan’s first large-scale offshore wind auction, which will be initiated by the Japanese authorities”, Equinor states in a press release.
The collaboration could lead to Equinor’s first offshore wind farm in Japan. The establishment of the collaboration is part of Equinor’s strategy for renewable energy to become a global player in offshore wind.
