Europris stops the sales of shoe dryers after fire

Europris has stopped the sale of a shoe dryer following the fire in Ytrebygda in Bergen on January 4, where four people perished.

Police have stated that the fire was probably due to a failure of a shoe dryer in the laundry room of the home.

Jon Boye Borgersen, who is director of concept, category and market in Europris, says that the shoe dryer is also sold by others, including Jernia, Sparkjøp, Ellos, Power and CDON.

-The fire department has not clarified the exact serial number, so we do not know more about where it was purchased. We have, to be on the safe side, stopped sales for the time being, he writes in an SMS to Bergens Tidende.
