Automatic reimbursement will shorten the time it takes to get money back from Norwegian. SAS, for its part, continues with manual processing of the requirements.
Automatic refunds have been closed since March, which has meant that customers have had to wait for their money for months.
– Our goal is that everyone who is entitled to it will be refunded their canceled trip no later than October. This also applies to customers who have ordered via a travel agency, writes information director at Norwegian, Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen in an email to Dagens Næringsliv.
The change means that among the companies that have routes to and from Norway, only SAS continues with manual processing of reimbursement claims.
