The head of Fjord Line requests that the Norwegian authorities gradually open the borders to neighboring countries, first to Denmark and then to Sweden.

“Opening for travel activity between Denmark and Norway before the summer can help more tourism companies earn some money this summer, and thus get the economy to survive the winter and be open also in the summer of 2021,” says Fjord Line CEO Rickard Ternblom in a press release.

In particular, he believes Norway and Denmark are in a fairly similar situation by having control over the spread of infection.

Both Fjord Line and Color Line have canceled all passenger ferries from Norway to Denmark, Sweden, and Germany since mid-March.
