19 percent have either lost their jobs, been laid off or feared for their jobs. After the first week of the Coronavirus outbreak, 34 percent reported the same, according to a study.

Norwegian Coronavirus Monitor from Opinion has asked 34,000 Norwegians if they have lost their job, been laid off or in fear of losing their job or be laid off as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak.

In the past week, 19 percent said they either lost their jobs, were laid off, or fear of losing their jobs or being laid off. The first week in which Norway closed down 34 percent said the same.

-“Although the numbers have improved, there is no doubt that the labor market is very tough at the moment and an obvious challenge for very many of us,” says senior adviser Nora Clausen of Opinion.
