On Monday, the management of the company sat down to discuss cost cuts, and in the next few days, the extent of the redundancies will be clear.

– “We know that there will be redundancies, but we do not know how many and who we are talking about,” says communications manager Flemming Hofmann Tveitan to E24.

The company has about 700 employees, but the number varies throughout the year. In total, the company has previously laid off 18 people in Sandefjord and Strömstad as a result of the ship MS Oslofjord being docked, writes Sandefjords Blad, which first wrote about the case.

The newspaper has previously mentioned that the shipping company loses hundreds of millions of kroner because the ship is docked in Sandefjord.

Fjord Line still has daily departures to Denmark from Bergen, Stavanger, and Langesund, despite the authorities’ travel restrictions.

Just under two weeks ago, it became known that Color Line will have to cut 250 million in budget costs from next year. Thus, 300 annual salaries disappear.
