Full stop for Gamestop in the Nordic region

The gaming chain Gamestop closes all its stores in the Nordic region. Today, the chain has 27 stores and 112 employees in Norway

“We have begun the process of closing down our operations in Northern Europe, which includes Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden,” said CEO George Sherman of Gamestop during the quarterly presentation night to Wednesday, reports E24.

The game chain confirms the closures on its website on Thursday.

– “We expect to be out of these markets by late 2020,” says Gamestop CFO James Bell.

Globally, the chain now has around 5,700 stores.
