The hotel strike escalates, with 2,447 more members in 209 enterprises going on strike.
Nearly 3,500 members of Fellesforbundet (the Joint Federation) went on strike last weekend after a break in the negotiations with the NHO Travelling.
At a press conference Monday the head of Fellesforbundet, Jørn Eggum, said that the parties are not any closer to an agreement.
– The strike will be extended into six new counties, with 2,447 members, Eggum said.
The counties in question are Akershus, More og Romsdal, Nord-Trøndelag, Rogaland, Troms and Finnmark and employees at hotels in those counties will now also go on strike, the newspaper VG reports.
