In August, 20 percent more jobs were announced in the private sector than in the same period last year, according to recent figures.
This is the fourth consecutive month where the number of vacancies is higher than last year, according to FINN job pulse, which is a monthly barometer of the employment market.
– In recent months, things have turned around for the better in the market for available jobs and positions, except in western Norway, job analyst and product management in FINN job, Fredrik Schjold, says.
However, the recovery has been partially offset by a decline of 4 percent in the number of job vacancies in the public sector . In August there were over 18,500 vacancies advertised on FINN, 15 percent more than last year.
At the same time, jobs in the public sector are also more attractive.
– More people want to switch from the private to the public sector than vice versa, Schjold says.
