Internet shopping is still increasing
Norwegians are shopping more and more online. Revenue for the first quarter of this year increased by 9.3 percent compared with the same period last year.
In total revenue from online shopping in Norway was NOK 3,396 million in the first quarter of this year, compared with NOK 3,106 million in the same period last year, figures from Statistics Norway (SSB) show.
The grocery trade increased by 2.9 percent, with an increase of almost NOK 750 million. Groceries were purchased for NOK 70,717 million in the first quarter of this year.
Wholesale trade is also able to note a slight increase of 7.3 percent in the first quarter of this year, compared to last year, while turnover in retail sales was 3 percent in the same period.
