There was more activity in Norway’s industry in July than in June.
Seasonally adjusted figures show that industrial production increased by 1.4% from June to July, Statistics Norway (SSB) writes.
Oil refining, the chemical industry, and the pharmaceutical industry, in particular, did well and contributed to the increase.
Construction of ships and oil platforms also increased. At the same time, the metal industry is struggling.
Due to a decrease in activity in May, the trend shows that there is a fall in production in the three-month period between May and July.
The figures for industrial turnover show that there was an increase in the same period, which can largely be attributed to price increases in the food industry.
