Both Kolonial and Meny maintained their growth in home delivery of groceries this summer. Kolonial is already approaching the turnover they had throughout last year.

VG writes that Kolonial last week passed a turnover of one billion kroner so far this year. This is roughly equivalent to the company’s turnover of all of last year, when the billion was passed in December.

– “It’s a lot of fun. We were in growth mode and then the Coronavirus situation came on top of that. We doubled the capacity extremely faster than what was planned,” says communications director Louise Fuchs in Kolonial to the newspaper.

Menys e-commerce has also increased sharply this year. This summer, the company has seen a doubling and tripling of sales compared to last year.

– “July turned out much better than we had thought,” says Meny’s web manager Knut Nyløkken.
