Kvaerner ASA and Aker Solutions ASA have agreed to merge. Operations Director Kjetel Digre in Aker BP will be CEO of the new company.
– “By combining the two companies and their resources, we will be able to deliver a more complete offer to the energy industry globally,” says chairman of the board Leif-Arne Langøy from Kvaerner in a press release.
The merged company will continue as a supplier company in oil, gas and energy.
According to the press release, the merged company will have around 15,000 employees, 8,000 of whom are in Norway. In 2019, the companies had a total income of NOK 38 billion.
Through the merger, the companies will be treated as equal parties.
