Kløverkjøtt AS withdraws their products prepared hamburger patties and meat balls, which are sold in Bunnpris stores across the country.

The reason is the discovery of listeria.

The hamburger patties and meat balls must not be eaten without heat treatment, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority warns in a press release.

The withdrawal applies to hamburger patty packs with item number 50129 and with the last consumption day of 14, 15, 28 and 29 October, as well as 5 November, as well as meat ball packs with item number 50009 and with the last consumption day of 28 September and 29 October.

Consumers can return the product to a Bunnpris store and get their money back.

Listeria bacteria can cause serious illness in humans. The bacterium can grow in refrigerated temperatures. People with impaired immune system are especially susceptible when exposed to the bacterium.
