Last year, 48,526 first-time buyers entered the housing market.
It is the highest recorded number in the last decade, writes Dagens Næringsliv and refers to a report made by the Norwegian Real Estate Agency in collaboration with Socio-economic analysis and Ambita.
3.4 percent of home buyers last year were first time buyers. This is the highest proportion since 2012. The report defines first-time buyers to be aged 20-39.
In Oslo, the number of first-time buyers was 8,308 – the highest since 2014.
