Of the 101 Norwegian municipalities that have areas suitable for onshore wind power, 78 say no to development, while only five say yes. 18 have not responded or do not know.
It shows an overview from the Class Fight, which refers to the National Framework for onshore wind power, where the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) has identified 13 areas suitable for onshore wind power. According to NVE, 97 municipalities are affected by these areas.
Of these 97 municipalities, 68 municipalities have decided on the issue of wind power development, and only two municipalities, Nordkapp and Porsanger in Finnmark, are positive.
