The number of wage earners in Denmark fell by 22,000 during the country’s corona lockdown in January.

That is the largest fall in employment since April 2020, when Denmark closed down for the first time, figures from Statistics Denmark show.

Hotels and restaurants were particularly hard hit, with 9,000 jobs that disappeared.
