At the end of October, 121,200 completely unemployed workers, partially unemployed workers, and job seekers were registered at the NAV. That constitutes 4.3% of the Norwegian labor force.

According to the NAV, the figure is 9,500 lower than at the end of September, adjusted for seasonal variations.

“The improvement in the labor market will continue in October. The number of job seekers has decreased for seven months in a row, and there are now almost 70,000 fewer job seekers than there were in March,” NAV chief Hans Christian Holte stated.

“At the same time, there is a great demand for labor, and many vacancies are advertised.”

A total of 63,300 people were registered as completely unemployed at the end of October, which constitutes 2.2% of the labor force.
