After mass layoffs and redundancies created long queues at Nav, the case processing time is now back to normal.
Since the country shut down in mid-March, Nav has processed 427,000 unemployment benefit applications.
In connection with the large turnout, there was a much longer case processing time than usual, but Nav director Hans Christian Holte tells NRK that the case processing time is now largely back to normal at around four weeks.
– “We will always keep an eye on the waiting time, because we know that the benefits mean a lot to those who will receive them,” says Holte.
