New homes in Norway became 6.2% more expensive in the last year

According to Statistics Norway (SSB), compared with the second quarter of 2020, the prices of new homes have increased by 6.2% in the second quarter of this year.

In the same period, prices for second-hand homes increased by 12.5%.

New apartment buildings registered a 5.8% price increase from the second quarter of last year to this year. From the first quarter of 2021, prices have increased by 0.7%, according to the SSB.

New detached houses have become 6.8% more expensive in one year. In the first quarter of 2021, prices fell, but in the second quarter, prices increased by 6.7%.
