March sales of newly built homes were 3% higher this year than last year, and so far this year, 9% are above new housing sales from the same period last year.
‘’Sales of single-family homes and apartments so far this year are 32 and 12% respectively, compared with last year. The sale of detached houses is 13% behind. During the past twelve months, 27,885 homes have been sold’’ said CEO, Per Jæger, of the Housing Manufacturers(Boligprodusentene).
Sales in the last twelve months were 5% over the previous twelve-month period. Detached house sales were 8%, while single-family homes and apartments were 3 and 15% respectively.
The start-up of housing so far this year is 14% below the level in the same period last year. For apartments, the start-up so far this year is 35%
over the first quarter last year, while single-family homes and detached houses are 22 and 3% respectively over the previous year.
‘’The last 12 months there were 28,80’’ said Jæger.
