The US Navy will buy missiles from the Norwegian Kongsberg Group.
The Marine Corps will integrate Naval Strike Missile rockets into its existing steerage structure. According to Teknisk Ukeblad magazine, the missiles will be used for land-based coastal defense.
The deal is worth $47.59 million, which is about NOK 417 million.
The contract comes eleven months after the weapon manufacturer won a contract worth NOK 6.9 billion to deliver Norwegian-developed NSM missiles to the US Navy.
The Kongsberg missiles are only the fifth generation precision weapon with a range of over 100 nautical miles.
