New NAV figures: Record number of unemployed in Stavanger
3848 persons were registered as unemployed in Stavanger in November.
It is the highest unemployment rate ever, according to the newspaper Stavanger Aftenblad. 5.1 percent of the workforce in Stavanger is now vacant, the new NAV number that is processed by the municipality.
– It is surprising that the numbers continue upwards. We have previously seen a tendency that the numbers have dropped a little, but now they are moving up again, says a counselor Einar Skjæveland.
